Free TICKS Babywearing Safety Downloads

Safe babywearing starts with simple, clear information. To support parents and professionals across Australia, we’ve created a collection of free posters, flyers, and social media images featuring the TICKS babywearing safety guidelines.

These resources are designed for clinics, hospitals, private practices, educators, volunteers, and families. Print them, share them online, or display them in your community to help make safe babywearing visible and accessible.

About TICKS

The TICKS guidelines are the internationally recognised safety steps for babywearing: Tight, In view at all times, Close enough to kiss, Keep chin off chest, Supported back. These five points help caregivers carry their baby safely, comfortably, and with confidence.

Free Community Babywearing Encouragement Cards

Babywearing is not only a practical way to care for your baby - it’s also a deeply human one. Carrying your baby supports their physical and emotional development, strengthens connection, and helps families respond to their babies’ needs with confidence and closeness.

To help normalise, encourage and promote safe babywearing in everyday community settings, we’ve created a set of Babywearing Community Cards. These cards are designed to be shared in the wild - at parks, shops, events, health services, and anywhere caregivers may be carrying their babies.

They gently:

  • Affirm a caregiver’s choice to carry their baby
  • Reinforce that babywearing is valuable, responsive care
  • Encourage awareness of safe babywearing practices
  • Foster a more supportive and informed community culture

Previously available as a paid resource, we’ve chosen to make these cards free to download so they can be used widely by parents, educators, volunteers, health professionals and babywearing advocates across Australia.

Our hope is that these small, positive touchpoints help caregivers feel seen, supported and confident — while also keeping safety front of mind.
